Alignments
All alignments — including evil — are permitted. Because sessions involve different group compositions, you won't always be locked into one party dynamic.
That said, you are responsible for making sure your character can still function in a group. If your alignment makes it impossible to find a group for a session, there will be no session for you. PvP is not accepted unless explicitly stated otherwise by the GM.
Consent and keeping your actions within your sphere of control are always required, regardless of alignment.
Skill Tree (instead of Subclasses)
Rather than traditional subclasses, this campaign uses a skill point system. All level 3 subclass features have been separated and placed in a dedicated tab on the character sheet, where you spend points to unlock them.
- The system becomes available from level 2 with 2 points to spend
- At level 3 you will have 6 points and access to subclass-specific spell lists
- Some features are generic (multiple classes can take them), some are class-specific, and some are shared between subclasses
- The system is intentionally experimental — costs and availability may be adjusted over time with one week's notice
