Damage Vulnerability

Damage Vulnerability

Vulnerability means a creature or object takes extra damage from a specific damage type.

  • Double the damage of that type before it is subtracted from the target's Hit Points.
  • It applies only to the listed damage type; other types in the same effect are unaffected.
  • Resistance and Vulnerability cancel out: if a target has both Resistance and Vulnerability to the same damage type, the two effectively cancel each other, and it takes neither extra nor reduced damage of that type.
  • It doesn't stack: multiple instances of Vulnerability to the same type count as only one, so the damage is doubled only once.
  • Vulnerability affects only the amount of damage taken, not other effects (such as a condition or forced movement) tied to the same source.
