Dodge
The Dodge action lets you focus entirely on avoiding harm, making yourself harder to hit until your next turn.
When you take the Dodge action, the following effects last until the start of your next turn:
- Any attack roll made against you has Disadvantage, provided you can see the attacker.
- You make Dexterity saving throws with Advantage.
Limits:
- You lose both benefits if you have the Incapacitated condition.
- You lose both benefits if your Speed drops to 0.
Dodge requires no roll and targets nothing - it is purely defensive. It uses your action for the turn, so you can still move and use a Bonus Action or Reaction as normal. The protection ends as soon as your next turn begins, so its value is in weathering attacks during the round after you take it.
