Exhaustion

Exhaustion

Exhaustion is a condition measured in cumulative levels, gained from certain effects and removed by finishing a Long Rest.

  • You have 1 or more levels of Exhaustion, gained 1 level at a time.
  • D20 Tests: You take a penalty to all D20 Tests (ability checks, attack rolls, and saving throws) equal to 2 × your Exhaustion level.
  • Speed: Your Speed is reduced by 5 feet for each level of Exhaustion.
  • Death: If your Exhaustion level reaches 6, you die.
  • Recovery: Finishing a Long Rest removes 1 level of Exhaustion. When your level reaches 0, the condition ends.

The penalties are cumulative, so the effects worsen as your level rises (for example, at level 3 you take a -6 penalty to D20 Tests and lose 15 feet of Speed).
