🤝 Social Contract

This server is a neurodiverse space. We cannot assume we all interpret tone, intent, or social cues in the same way. Misunderstandings will happen — this is how they are handled.

Intent vs Impact

Good intent is assumed from all members. Most conflicts arise from miscommunication, not malice.

However, impact matters more than intent. If behaviour repeatedly causes confusion, pressure, or discomfort for others, moderation will step in — even if you meant well. The goal is to restore comfort, not to determine who is a bad person.

Shared Responsibility

Interactions are shared situations. If a conversation escalates, all participants may be addressed — not only the person who appears most at fault.

Taking some ownership of your part in an interaction shows willingness to resolve the situation and will always be taken into account. The purpose is not to assign blame, but to prevent escalation and move the community forward.

Maturity & Experience

Members with more experience in the community, the game, or the topic are expected to help others enter the space.

  • Do not expect others to already know what you know.
  • Do not talk down to others in a way that removes their agency.
  • Guidance should help people participate, not make them feel inadequate.

Moderation

Moderators may pause discussions, redirect topics, end conversations, or remove people from sessions. These decisions restore clarity and comfort for the group — they are not a judgement about who is right or wrong.

GMs are trusted to handle moderation during sessions. Banning rules will be established if and when they become necessary.
