You jump up to 10 feet to an unoccupied space you can see and deliver a spectral claw attack that deals Slashing or Force damage (you choose when you cast the spell). Make a melee spell attack against a target. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 (avg 4.5) damage of the chosen type, and the next attack roll you make against it before the end of your next turn has @variantrule[Advantage|XPHB].

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The damage increases by 1d8 (avg 4.5) when you reach levels 5 (2d8 (avg 9)), 11 (38), and 17 (4d8 (avg 18)).
