You touch the ground and alter its surface to create physical tracks of a creature type you are familiar with. The tracks appear as if the chosen creature or group of creatures passed through, covering a path up to 100 feet long. You may also choose to erase or obscure any existing tracks within the area of effect, making it seem like no creature has passed through.

The tracks are real and can be inspected by anyone. A creature following the tracks must succeed on a skill check against your spell save DC to realize something is unnatural or out of place.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the length of the false trail increases by 100 feet for each slot level above 1st.
