1 The Social Contract ▼
Before the game mechanics, there are rules about people.
Impact over intent If your actions harm someone's experience, the impact is what matters — not whether you meant to. "I didn't mean it that way" doesn't undo the harm. We address the effect first, always.
Shared responsibility Everyone at the table is responsible for the health of the game — players, GMs, and observers. If something feels wrong, anyone can say something. You don't have to wait for a GM to step in.
Neurodiverse-friendly space This server consciously welcomes neurodivergent players. Communication styles vary. Be patient, be explicit when something bothers you, and extend good faith by default.
The X-Card We use the X-Card system. If content in the game is making you uncomfortable, you can call X (in chat or voice) and that content stops immediately — no explanation required, no questions asked.
Moderation Moderators can pause, redirect, or remove a player from a session or the server. Moderation decisions prioritize the safety of the group and don't require lengthy justification.
2 The Ten Rules ▼
These are the non-negotiable rules of the server:
- Be Respectful — No harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks. Violations result in an immediate ban.
- Keep It Safe — We use the X-Card. Content that makes you uncomfortable stops when you call it.
- 18+ Server — Mature themes are handled with explicit consent. Minors are not permitted.
- Discord Membership Required — You must be a member of the Discord server to participate in sessions.
- One Active Campaign — You may be active in a maximum of 2 concurrent campaigns. GMs are exempt.
- Communicate Absences — Give 24 hours' notice if you can't make a session. Three unexplained no-shows may result in removal from that campaign.
- Respect the DM's Table — The DM has final say on all rulings. Argue after the session, not during it.
- No Metagaming — Don't use out-of-character knowledge to influence in-character decisions.
- Zero Tolerance for Cheating — Fudging dice, misrepresenting rules, or manipulating outcomes to gain advantage is grounds for removal.
- Have Fun — This is a game. Winning isn't the point. Shared story and mutual enjoyment are.
3 Absences & Activity ▼
Sessions require a minimum number of players to run well. Please be reliable.
If you can't make a session:
- Cancel your RSVP as early as possible — ideally 24+ hours in advance
- Message your GM directly if it's last minute
- Your character may be played as a quiet NPC or written out of the scene for that session
Repeat absences: Three unexplained no-shows to a campaign you're signed up for may result in your character being removed from that campaign's roster. The slot needs to go to someone who can commit.
Extended absence: If you're going to be away for a while, tell your GM. We'd rather put your character on ice than write them out permanently.
4 PvP & Player Conflict ▼
Player-vs-player conflict requires extra care because it involves real people's enjoyment.
What counts as PvP:
- Contested rolls between two player characters
- Using deception, manipulation, charms, or compulsions on another PC
- Any action where one character deliberately acts against another
The rule: PvP requires explicit GM permission before it happens. Not implied, not assumed — explicit. Ask your GM in advance, out of character.
Why this matters: PvP without prior consent can blindside players, damage trust between people, and derail the story. Even if your character "would" do it, the player on the other side needs to be okay with it happening.
Hostile actions forced on another PC without prior GM permission are voided. Repeat violations are treated as a moderation issue.
